WHY I BOUGHT THIS HOUSE THAT I AM NOW RENTING:
First my cottage is known as ”The old house of the astronomer” or ”La antigua casa del astrónomo”. It was used by an astronomer because it had the very best views of the night sky with no neighbours nearby to cause light contamination as well as the best breathtaking day views of mountains and valley. Still have the professional telescope here from the astronomer.It is in the centre of everything.
I also wanted a place with no neighbours where I could relax with family friends. There are good summer temperatures with a high altitude breeze and in winter an open area where the chill is carried away so eating outside in January in my orchard is perfect. I start a fire and we all sit around in a circle. As for the inside the glass walls I’ve installed allow the sun to directly bathe the house in winter so being inside is a warm pleasure.
The house is not a 5 star hotel. It is my house. 4 bedrooms 2 down and 2 upstairs. A modern kitchen for cozy breakfasts, my living room and of course the bathroom with plenty of hot water for showers… outside I have 12000 square metres. I’ve fenced in a part for my dogs to run and kids can play. A lot of land that it. The orientation is towards the best night sky.
For me its just a beautiful house in the very centre of ricote valley and I do appreciate the view at night and in the day. Breathtaking sky mountains and valley. Absolutely no neighbours nearby and nobody can see you here.
The village is called Alcoba. Its located right on the best trekking routes biking paths and walking adventures.so much to do. By car you have not 1 but 2 spas..-the baños of Mula and the baños of Archena. In less than 10 min you are there..-also Murapark for a day of adventure, picnic and fun. My house is not a cortijo or big farmhouse where renters share the outside land bbq and pool while having their own part of the big house. If you are 20 or more please go to a cortijo where they rent to many families sharing at the same time in order to fill their house. My house is a cottage. Just for renting so you also can enjoy this magical place with family friends or even a celebration. No sharing this house with other groups. Its all yours. The house the land. No surprises. If you are 12 or fewer this is the place you want to rent for your vacation.
